What is Re-Grip Sole?

Posted by Will Oviedo on

Re-Grip Sole "Mark I" is a one of a kind product that re-treads worn out footwear's outsole, primarily basketball sneakers and athletic footwear such as skater shoes, jogging/running shoes, etc... The "Mark I" will feature new tread designs on one side where the sneaker makes contact with the ground for new added grip, and, will feature a thin layer of foam cushioning under a layer of rubber for additional comfort & support.

The "Mark I" will come in different tread designs for two different applications. The first application will focus on concrete and will be made of primarily rubber like most sneaker outsoles. The second application is for hardwood use, this "Mark I" will be made from a special blend of rubber and rubber like synthetics giving it a "Non-Slip" application. This would be the first time ever you can apply a "Non-Slip" application to an athletic sneaker made specifically for hardwood floors.

Both versions of the "Mark I" will benefit the user tremendously. For concrete use it gives the user the ability to save their favorite sneaker by giving it new life or as we like to say "extending the life of your sneakers", and for the hardwood application it will give the user the peace of mind of decreasing the chances of slipping and falling if you step or run over a wet spot on the court.

Initially the "Mark I" will be a universal fit and will be fully customizable to fit any sneaker. You will be able to retread the front, middle, and back of the sneakers. Wherever you want tread and grip you will be able to apply it by cutting and molding the "Mark I" to any shape & size you want. It will also come in different colors to match the existing sneaker outsole or you can change the color and give your sneakers a custom new look.

Lastly, both "Mark I" versions will come with additional rubber materials to plug any holes on the sneakers outsole making your sneakers 100% useable again. The additional rubber materials will be fully customizable to fit practicality any holes the sneakers might have, any size, any depth.

We're working on a video that will demonstrate how to customize and apply the "Mark I" and will post it as soon as its ready.

We have huge plans for the future and for more applications. The possibilities will be endless in what you will be able to do with your sneakers. Stay tune, we're just getting started...
